Background
One of my recent favorite movies in the “superhero” genre was Wonder Woman. It kinda surprised me – I haven’t been quite as enamored over the DC films as I am with Marvel. However – as I do love the characters, this film exceed all expectations for a wonderful portrayal of a all-time classic comic book heroine.
This particular painting perhaps is my most intensive experiment with digital painting thus far. I played with the color extensively. The piece never actually came together in the best possible outcome, as my experimentation took me from a wide range of color profiles. I tried every variation of background color, and adjusted tones and details repeatedly.
Although it took an enormous about of time – the goal wasn’t for a perfect outcome, but rather for learning. If I were to start from scratch, the end-result would be much better from what I learned – and that was the best outcome for my growth in digital painting.
Nevertheless, this deserved to be displayed in my gallery. I’ll probably share a variation with a red background (which works better with the deep red/pinks in the skin tones).[/vc_column_text][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1576437936551{margin-top: 0px !important;margin-bottom: 0px !important;padding-top: 20px !important;padding-bottom: 20px !important;}”][vc_column_text]
