Background
Another in the pantheon of DC royalty, Batman has always been one of my favorite in the comic book genre. I couldn’t resist taking some time to sketch and paint a version of my own. The classic portrayal of this superhero often has him perched above a cityscape, and this is obviously no different.
This painting started being a composition featuring Batman and his nemesis, The Joker. However, as it developed, my initial sketch of Batman looked better as a standalone hero image.
